Dr. Sujata Naik
Dr. Sujata Naik, daughter of Late Dr. N. P. Tolani, graduated from Seth G. S. Medical College, Mumbai followed by a postgraduation in Otolaryngology from T. N. Medical College, Mumbai. With the intent of broadening her professional horizon, she proceeded to USA, where she obtained triple board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Sujata Naik, a practicing pulmonologist and intensivist was a Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at The Brooklyn Hospital Centre, New York, NY. She was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cornell Medical School, New York, NY. In these capacities she was involved in teaching and training several medical students, resident doctors and pulmonary fellows. Presently she has taken an indefinite sabbatical from the medical profession to participate and guide the family business and social initiatives.
Dr. Sujata Naik has been a member of the Board of Directors of Tolani Group of Companies since 1984. In 2009, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Tolani Shipping Company Limited and has actively been steering the growth of the Company.
Dr. Sujata Naik has served as a President of Indian Ship Owners Association (INSA) for the period 2020-2022 and is presently a Director on the Board of INSA. She also serves as the Chairperson of the Research and Training Committee, and is a trustee of the Maritime Training Trust.
Imbibed with the persona of her father, she guides the social initiatives of the Group with the same dynamism and commitment. She is the Chairperson of the Governing Council of Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) and a member of the Governing Body of Tolani Education Society (TES), which has established and manages the Tolani College of Commerce (TCC). Further she has taken on the responsibilities of the family promoted educational institute and hospital in Adipur Gujarat which are managed by the Gandhidam Collegiate Board and Tolani Eye Hospital and Research Centre.
Mr. Anil Harish
Mr. Anil Harish completed his B.A. and LL.B. in Mumbai and thereafter completed his LL.M. from the University of Miami. He is presently a Partner at D.M. Harish & Co., Advocates.
Mr. Anil Harish’s practice includes many diverse areas of the law including, Property, Taxation, Exchange Control and Succession. He has been on the Managing Committee of Indian Merchants Chamber, Chamber of Tax Consultants and ITAT Bar Association and an office bearer of several institutions in the legal field such as the Society of Indian Law Firms, of which he was the Vice President. Mr. Harish has been ranked by the prestigious legal directory of Chambers & Partners as a leading tax lawyer.
Mr. Harish has given several professional speeches in India and overseas and has authored several articles which have been published in the leading newspapers and journals of the country.
Mr. Anil Harish is a director of several prestigious public limited companies being Hinduja Global Solutions Limited, Oberoi Realty Limited, Blue Star Limited and Emaar India Limited etc. Mr. Anil Harish is a Trustee of several educational and charitable trusts, such as D. M. Harish Foundation and Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.
Mr. R. Kumar
Mr. R. Kumar graduated in Commerce in the Year 1984 from the University of Calcutta. He sucessfully completed his post graduate studies in Cost Accountancy and Company Secretary. With 6 year's of experience in finance, accounts and banking, he joined the Group in 1991. Over the years, Mr. Kumar has handled diverse portfolios with increasing responsibilities. He rapidly climbed the ladder in the organization and became an integral part of the core management team. He was inducted on the Board of the Company in the year 2000 and was appointed as the Managing Director of the Company in 2007.
